I was working on my Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4 review when I saw a news headline on my computer stating that Israel has airstriked Iran. Normally I don’t discuss world events on this blog because it’s meant to be an escape for me, but I’m absolutely terrified at this news and feel like I don’t have anywhere else to turn. Iran has a population of over 80,000,000 people, and it being attacked means there’s a good chance they’ll start a war with Israel and / or the US (and let’s be real, if Israel gets in a war, than the US will be dragged in one way or another). I’m also 18 and a male, which means I’m in the Selective Service database. To be blunt, I don’t want to be drafted and die in the Middle East because of Netanyahu’s ego, and I’m very worried about just that happening considering how bellicose Trump has been so far. I’ve been mostly ignoring the news for the past few weeks because of this exact possibility, hoping it would just blow over like most of these games of brinkmanship, but it seems I wasn’t so lucky this time. Let’s just hope WW3 doesn’t start…
